Why Speed Is So Important In Business

Every action you take must be taken with speed.

This doesn't mean it should be done cheaply, or half-heartedly or anything like that.

It means that if you have a task to complete to progress your business, it should be taken immediately.

The longer you dwell on an activity, the higher the chances of the task being left behind.

Attacking Problems With Speed

The key point of this written piece - if you identify a problem in your business, you work to solve it immediately with no hesitation.

Equipment has broken down? Find a way to fix it as soon as possible. Sales have dried up? Find a way to fix it straight away.

Tasks will get completed straight away and you will make faster progress in your business.

Business problems can often multiply, if you don't solve one issue then another one can arise from the one you didn't solve.

Don't allow yourself to let things slide that you know needed doing, we all remember getting homework in school and not starting it until the day before.

If you completed the homework when you got it, then the stress and headache of having to complete it in the next 12 hours goes away.

Becoming a faster worker and improving your level of productivity is teachable if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

We will teach you the exact practical tips that you can start using today in your work to get tasks done quicker, including the using of a habit tracker and how to use your calendar efficiently.

Conflating Speed and Lack of Quality

When things are done quickly then it can be a common occurance for the project to be done to a poor standard in regards to the quality of it.

Attacking problems and tasks with speed does not mean rushing it and completing it to a level you know is poor, you still have to be a professional, you just need to apply some urgency to the task at hand.

Set yourself a deadline for what needs to be done, rather than "this can be done by the end of this week", you can change your approach to "this needs to be done today, and I'm not leaving until it is done".

Suddenly, your productivity has increased tenfold and your workload has actually gone down in the short term, as what would usually take you a day has taken you two hours, now you have the rest of your day to fill out with what you want.

When you're fighting and you learn to punch, if the coach tells you to punch faster you don't degrade the punch, you just keep your usual punch and do it quicker.

Opportunity Cost

What is opportunity cost?

Opportunity cost is the concept of time being spent elsewhere, instead of the time being applied productively.

Meaning if you require a website because your target market needs to find you and it takes 2 weeks to build, but you can find someone else to have it up and running in 1 week, then you have another whole WEEK of potential business opportunities.

I want you to understand this because it is a vital concept - the quicker you can get things done and the more time you apply to productive activities, the more potential return on investment there is.
