Dave Brazer
Dave has been the spearhead of companies throughout South Yorkshire for over 30 years, including social enterprises focusing on getting marginalised communities into work, and more importantly getting them ready for work.
In 2008, Dave set up his social enterprise Citadel Associates, a non-profit organisation created with the sole focus of helping vulnerable, under priveleged and disadvantaged individuals.
From 2013 to 2023, Dave started Ignition Training Centre in Doncaster, a garage that was a centre for ex-offenders, school children, disabled people and those out of education to develop employment skills via the means of entry level mechanics.
After helping thousands of individuals from all positions and backgrounds during his time as the Managing Director of Ignition Training Centre, both in Doncaster and Sheffield, Dave decided to end the project.
In May 2023, Dave started Citadel Business Academy, and hired Kian to be the 'Business Support Officer', and as of August 2024 have helped over 90 individuals explore their business idea with 16 of them being fully set up and operating as self-employed.
Kian Richards
Kian started his entreprenuership journey at the beginning of 2022 after his 19th birthday, starting out with a copywriting business that he was running on the side, focusing on practicality by reaching out to local businesses and developing beginner business skills.
Upon making the decision to stop this venture as it wasn't working, Kian decided to set up an e-commerce store selling pet supplies in Summer 2022.
After some personal adversity in September 2022, Kian decided to leave his full-time factory work and take the risk of going all in on his online business at 19 years old.
Fast forward to May 2023, Kian was invited to join the Citadel Associates team as a part of their business support project Citadel Business Academy.
Kian was hired based on his attitude, mentality, personality and online business skillset.
Kian heavily values his education, purchasing resources that will improve both his and his clients' business and personal development.
On top of his work with Citadel Business Academy, Kian has a business selling online ad copywriting services to local business owners.
